Sunday, August 01, 2004 Sat: woke up real late.. partial hangover, partial lack of slp.. dragged myself to work finally at 1pm(work's at 11am, i was still in bed snoozing my clock).. went to eat from 130 till 230.. den colleague told me she got extra ndp preview tick, asked if i wanna go..nv been to a parade in my life, so decided to AWOL again at 5.. hehe screw it la, tmr my last day of work, if they wan can sack me for all i care..hehe.. this yr goody bag sucks like crap la..alot rubbish.. it's kinda boring, tink betta to watch at hm from tv coz' some of the formations can onli be seen from a bird's eye view.. but they really spent alot effort practising it so here's a round of applause.... the fireworks were real pretty, and real close.. we left 10 mins earlier to avoid the human jam, but guess got lotsa pple who were more kiasu than us la..the whole freaking stadium was clogged up. we spent half hr trying to get up an overhead bridge, kinda stupid. they should haf opened up more places for the huge crowd to pass thru. by time we reached cine to watch a russian film "the return", we've missed like half an hr of it.. it's a great movie. feel like kicking myself for missing the starting.. appreciate a nice movie which touches ur heart, focuses on characterization instead of all those no-brainer action or cgi effects... i like the feeling of coming out of the theatre thinking abt issues, and not dumber ala legally blonde(ok la, it's fine to be a ditz once in a while).. went holland v for sup at crystal jade..tired..gonna crash.. tmr last day at work, maybe i'll try to complete my 10 hr shift for once...'Try' being the key operative word here..
