Wednesday, February 01, 2006 happy chinese new year to all.. all the tarts and cookies and wat not is making me really fat.. my tum tum is growing by the day.. i'm sure there'll be plenty of pple like me.. nvm.. we go play tennis at evien's hse next time.. been spending a lotta time w my family, time and memories are so precious now tt my dad'll be leaving. really sad he's gotta go so far to make a living, i hope God will watch after him. Amen. Been reading Rick Warren's "purpose-driven life" given to me by jasmine and i really like it alot, makes me think and reinforces my belief which has been dwindling thru the years.. I went play badminton w my sister last wed on my free day, i can't remember the last time i did that, reminds me of the days when i was in Tianjin, life was carefree after sch and all the international sch kids would go to the park to cycle every evening. We started a water fight w our sqooshy nike bottles and both of us went hm drenched tt my mom tot we bathed downstairs. so nice..second day of new year we went into JB to visit my aunt and set off like dunno how many crates of firecrackers, so fun! for those of u who have not tried firecrackers, u really gotta. We used to buy them by the crates when we were in tianjin and just set them off in our balcony. Went to my god-ma's hse today to bai-nian, she's like my second mommy, she took care of me when i was 8mths old all the way till 7 and i love her soo much. even tho i visit her only once or twice a year, she's still so loving and today she told me she kept a diary from 1986 where i wrote my name for the first time. Looking thru the filmsy faded pages plagued w yellow spots, i felt a surge of tears. The handwriting was horrible and all crooked, the strokes of my chinese characters written wrongly and shaded and some unfinished. Something tt's so valuable but worthless at the same time is actually being kept by my god-ma for the past 20years in her drawer. i actually mean so much to someone.
